- 9-4-2007: cleanup & migrated to wiki.
- 1-20-2006: posted version 0.2; migrated to .NET 2.0; redid picture viewer code; made lists dynamic (don't have to close and reopen to see new files: just click on the list).
- 8-4-2004: posted version 0.1; processes XML files and local pictures; no trees yet.
- 7-7-2004: posted prototype screenshots; more information; updated files

Purpose
- To create a simple, yet powerful method of generating family trees.
- It is desired to track families through maternal & paternal lines, as well as account for multiple names & utilize parentage & surnames to track.
- It is also desired to be able to link to pictures of subject persons, as well as provide summaries of who they are/were.
- Ideally, filenames for shared XML files should be in a style that permits thousands of entries to exist in the same directory, available for sorting by client software. This is doable by combining names with random numbers.
- At some point, compatibility with existing genealogical formats is desired.
- XML data for this project should be able to be peer-shared with others, using existing or yet-to-be-designed software to provide data for family tree generation on a regular basis.
